I wake up, take a look at my current WIPs, and whichever one grabs my attention is the one I work on for the day. Currently, that means I'm splitting time between five manuscripts. Maybe not the most efficient way to write a book, but for now, it's working for me. Of course, that means it will take longer to finally finish one, but it also means that I should finish a couple around the same time. :-)
Damien and Mina from the Fang and Fur series are definitely in the lineup. Writing a klutzy vampire is so much fun.
I've started the next City of Hope book. It's not getting as much attention from me as some of the others, but it should be finished sometime during the summer.
The headliner for this WIP list is definitely the first book of the new Plus One series. It's a contemporary romance series, but it's not your typical dating agency trope. It's not a matchmaker series. It is, however, fun and sexy, and I love writing it. I can't wait for everyone to meet Mara and Jace.
The other two manuscripts I've been writing on are also new. In fact, they're so new, anything could change at this point, so I don't want to say much about them. I will say that one is paranormal and will be part of a trilogy. (Not a serial, though. Each book will focus on a different couple.) The final WIP is...wait for it...a cozy mystery. It's paranormal in the sense that my heroine sees ghosts, but that's about as far as the bump-in-the-night stuff goes. I honestly have no idea when either of these books will be finished since I mostly work on them in my "free" time. Maybe toward the end of the year? I really don't know.
I get that there's a lot of new stuff on this list. That's just where my brain is at right now. This is what the muse wants to work on. That doesn't mean I'm abandoning my ongoing series, though. The next Revenant book is definitely coming later this year. I've finished the outline for the next Watchdog Security book. I might write another 3013 book this year as well. That one mostly boils down to time constraints.
I don't really have a writing schedule. Trying to force myself to write something I'm not feeling is a sure way to not write at all. I'm working really hard to put out at least one book a month this year, but with some (like The Revenant) it might be closer to every two months. So, I hope you enjoy the new stuff I'm writing, and if you're holding out for a particular series, I promise it's coming. I just don't know when yet. (Sorry.)
