First, I hope everyone is healthy and managing to maintain at least some semblance of sanity.
Second, a friendly reminder to the all the ladies doing their own eyebrows for the first time since the Bush Administration. It's okay. Don't panic. They'll grow back. That's why we have brow pencils. And finally, an apology. I'm sorry I haven't been active on social media much in the past few weeks. I'm sorry I haven't been updating my website or my blog. I'm sorry that the release of Wild Hunt (The Revenant, Book 4) is being pushed back to June 16th. The fact is, guys, I'm running on empty. Every day is a struggle. Let us, for a second, forget about my crippling anxiety that left me a neurotic mess for weeks. I'll spare you the stories of the numerous times I've cried in the middle of the grocery stores because all the shelves and refrigerator/freezer cases were empty. Half my day is now devoted to teaching/helping my children with Online Distance Learning. And I suck at Algebra, y'all. Not even going to lie. I spend hours most nights learning the material so I can then help my teenage boys with things like branding and marketing, creating a currency system, the aspects of the "Hero's Journey", and real-world applications of the quadratic formula. Since they aren't in school, I'm cooking 2 or 3 meals a day vs just 1. Trips to the grocery store are no longer quick and easy. It's getting better, but they are still, at times, depressing, panic-inducing, and time-consuming as I travel to 3 different stores just to find a handful of essentials. And all of this would probably be at least a little easier if I could actually sleep. Like many of you, I'm exhausted...physically, mentally, and emotionally. So, I hope you can understand why I had to push back the release date of Wild Hunt. If you pre-ordered a copy, first off, thank you. You should be getting an email from Amazon soon if you haven't already, informing you of the new release date. I know we are all facing our own unique challenges right now as we try to navigate how the world has changed, and I deeply appreciate everyone's patience as I work to make Wild Hunt the best book it can be. Until next time, stay safe, wash your hands, and try not to touch your face. (It's ridiculously hard, I know!) XoXo - Kali
